Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the photographer behind the InstaIsraelGram accounts. I started taking photos at a young age, and my first digital camera was an Olympus C-150 in 2003. I was hooked on digital photography from the first time I took a picture and was able to see in real-time whether or not I got the shot I wanted. The idea of taking a photo and not having to wait the week or two to find out if the shot was blurry, framed wrong, or wouldn’t be developed was exhilarating.
Over the years, I would take my digital camera(s) everywhere; Weddings, trips, company events and post the photos on Facebook or private file sharing sites. However, after moving to Israel with my family in 2012, I decided that I was living in a magical place with thousands of years of history with a modern twist that needed to be shared with the world.
Unfortunately, it seems that nowadays most people think of the State of Israel as a country constantly in a state of war and that can’t be further from the truth. That being said, I decided I needed to do something, anything to share a different view of the State of Israel with the world. The State of Israel is one of the most unique countries on the planet, and anyone that has the ability and chance to visit needs to experience it first hand for themselves. The State of Israel is a country with holy sites and history wherever you go, mosques, churches, synagogues, archaeological digs, and ancient ruins. At the same time, there are highways, Maseratis, technology giants, modern art, and sky scrapers.
So in 2018, I created the InstaIsraelGram accounts to offer a unique look at the State of Israel you won’t get in the media. If you have a unique experience, location, event you want me to feature, feel free to DM me 🙂
PS: You are welcome to use my photos to promote the State of Israel, as long as you credit and tag @InstaIsraelGram.
